Haldimand County Today

I was down in Haldimand County near Lake Erie today bright and early for work and had a great time doing some migratory bird surveys.  I also nipped into Rock Point and enjoyed seeing many warblers and a Red-headed Woodpecker (see below).

At one of my other sites I was pleasantly surprised to come across 4 different Upland Sandpipers!  The habitat looked great for this species and there were also Grasshopper Sparrows singing.

There seems to be plenty of migration still happening, so hopefully I can get out a few more times before things slow down too much.
