I have been all over the map the past month or so and have seen lots of interesting things in my wanderings. Below are a few of my favourites.
We saw this Olive-sided Flycatcher at the Kincardine Sewage Lagoons at the end of May, it was the highlight of a great day!

This young Raccoon peeping its face out of a tree hole was a photo worthy occasion!

The photo below shows a Brook Trout migrating up a small stream (really a ditch filled with water) in Bruce County from Lake Huron. You can see where this species gets its other name of 'Speckled Trout'.

The other day I was at a work site in Bruce County and had the pleasure of stopping by Greenock Swamp, the largest swamp in Southern Ontario! There are a few roads that bisect the forest, and I stopped to listen for interesting birds. Highlights included Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Scarlet Tanager, Golden-winged Warbler, and the crown jewel...Cerulean Warbler!

While walking the roads in Greenock I noticed a lot of dragonflies flitting about. I caught one and was happy to find that I was holding a Harlequin Darner - a springtime species that I only seldomly catch up with.
