Essex County Insect Hunt

I was down in Essex County for work with Pat his past week and we had some fantastic finds!  I will be brief because Pat got better pictures on this trip and has already detailed much of it in his blog here.

The highlights were definitely the numerous Giant Swallowtail, Duke's Skipper and best of all, two Common Checkered Skippers that are considered a rare migrant in Ontario that occasionally establishes small colonies.

Well that's all the time I have now, I am off to Algonquin Park on a 4 day canoe trip tomorrow morning!
